 dmade Ceramic Growler\, based in Columbia Falls\nFormally educated as a K-
 12 art teacher\, Tim brings both technical training and a passion for educ
 ation to his creative practice. After completing four years of active duty
  as an officer in the US Army\, and subsequently as a wilderness guide\, T
 im transitioned back into the arts by working with and for WF Pottery befo
 re establishing an independent studio career and being a stay-at-home fath
 er. \nFor the past 18 years\, Tim has worked as a studio potter\, collabor
 ating with local and national breweries\, distilleries\, coffee shops\, an
 d private collectors to create distinctive\, handcrafted ceramics. In addi
 tion to production and commissioned work\, he has attended and taught nume
 rous workshops\, sharing their knowledge and craft with emerging artists a
 nd community members alike. Tim’s work has been featured in many magazines
  such Ceramics Monthly\, Pottery Making Illustrated\, Beer Box Magazine\, 
 Mens’s Health\, as well as seen on TV.  He has also shown his work in mult
 iple art fairs as well as juried gallery and museum exhibitions over the y
 ears. \n\nTim is doing a demo in the clay studio that will include throwin
 g multiple objects to be assembled (something like a teapot/growler with c
 ups). Tim is also an awesome example of setting up your workspace in a way
  that works for you! \n\n---\n3:00\, in the Clay Studio - Jeanne Langan\, 
 studio manager at Stumptown\nJeanne discovered her love for working in cla
 y studios before ever making a pot. Starting by processing clay and cleani
 ng for classes at her college in 2010\, she began actually making ceramic 
 objects in a class in 2012\, and has been consistently working in pottery 
 studios since 2013. Clay brought her to Montana to work for WF Pottery\, a
 nd she's been the studio/co-op facilitator at Stumptown since 2018. Her wo
 rk and pottery-life have been shaped by being a studio-chore-doer in educa
 tional\, artist collective\, individual/private\, production\, and communi
 ty clay studios. She's guided by the joy of experimentation and constant c
 uriosity about the process and tradition. \n\nI'm doing a demo in the clay
  studio to share one of my favorite chores\, reclaiming clay <3\nWe'll go 
 through the process\, talk about the different approaches to managing this
  necessary activity\, and get you thinking about material literacy in pott
 ery at its most basic: clay+water\n\n---\n5:30\, main floor - Michell Wang
 \, local potter/Stumptown Clay Co-op member\nMiche Wang has been developin
 g her relationship with clay for nearly two decades. She has been a studen
 t\, production potter\, artist\, instructor\, and more. Her approach invol
 ves embracing the remedial nature of creating itself\, a commitment to pro
 cess\, spontaneity\, and a respect for the material. \n\nJoin local potter
 \, Miche\, for a book reading: Insight into Humankind's Relationship with 
 Clay by Suzanne Staubach\; followed by a gently guided handbuilding sessio
 n. Projects will not be fired.
