  is a classically trained fine artist\, who graduated simultaneously from 
 the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Art and the University of Pennsylvania wi
 th degrees in Fine Art and Art History.\n\nHer paintings are rooted in cla
 ssical representation however\, her work deviates from pure realism to cre
 ate a gestural and surreal visual narrative that speaks to the changing na
 ture of light as it plays across a subject.\n\nShasha has worked as a port
 rait artist for the past decade\, but recently she made a shift in her sub
 ject matter. 'Painting flowers doesn't feel so different from painting por
 traits. I'm still working towards capturing something living\, but now bec
 ause of their relatability\, symbolism and beauty\, flowers are my subject
  matter.'
