Clay Skills Workshop: Wheelwork & Centering

Saturday, June 14th 10am-1pm
Stumptown Art Studio
145 Central Ave
Whitefish, MT 59937
US

We will focus on methods of getting and keeping clay centered, and how to adjust for a pot that’s gone wobbly. We may also experiment with different weights of clay, and more advanced methods of bringing a pot back to center. A basic understanding of the throwing process is required - students will be expected to wedge their own clay, set-up/clean their wheels, and have a grasp of

the basic steps of throwing on the wheel. There will be no finished objects at the end of this class - all clay will be recycled.
